Thruster

A front squat straight into an overhead press, in one continuous movement.

What it means in a class

A thruster combines a front squat and a push press. You drive out of the bottom of the squat and use that momentum to send the bar overhead in one fluid rep.

It's efficient, which is precisely why it's so demanding — thrusters spike your heart rate faster than almost anything else in the gym.
